Building safety, trust, and understanding.

Songbirds vocalize the reassurance of nature, singing only when they feel safe and when there’s no threat nearby. Our nervous systems tune into this, often without us realizing, taking cues from the natural world. Similarly, therapy can become a space where your system learns it’s safe enough to soften, explore, and be heard. It’s a reminder that safety is possible, and healing begins in those moments of calm.

Who we are

At Songbird Therapy, we offer a variety of ways to access therapy: whether you prefer in-person sessions, online appointments, or walk & talk sessions in nature, we’ll meet you where you’re most comfortable.

If you're facing something new or living with a long-standing challenge, our aim is to create a non-judgemental and grounding space for you to feel safe. We use a trauma-informed and often narrative-based approach, and consider the whole person, as well as societal and cultural influences in our work together, and take a holistic approach to support your wellbeing.

We recognizing that each person’s story is shaped by the social, cultural, and historical contexts in which they live. Rather than assuming expertise on your experience, we aim to be curious, to listen deeply, and to honour the meanings and identities that are important to you.

Songbird Therapy offers personalized, client-centered care, taking the time to truly get to know you or your child through collaborative goal setting and a gentle pace that prioritizes trust and relationship building.
